August 13, 2011 (Satuday) – The Kandy Perahera is occuring in Sri Lanka right now. The twelve and a half hour time difference means we could start watching at 8:30 am Vancouver time. Luckily, we can watch on TV via the Internet from a Sri Lankan television network.
I started daily blogging in the fall of 2003 and my eJournal and images entries continue to this very day. In July 2005, when I joined Flickr, I expanded my online presence by emphasizing a daily image too. I add at least one picture every single day. Doing so reminds me to constantly capture images as a more direct record of personal experiences.
Look at images from other Flickr users who have actually been at the yearly event.
